Stephanie J. Block will star as Cher in the Broadway-bound musical “The Cher Show,” the show’s press team confirmed Tuesday.

“The Cher Show” is playing a pre-Broadway run in Chicago this June before coming to Broadway in the fall. The musical has said it will have three actors playing Cher at different stages in her life.

None of the other actors have been announced.

Flody Suarez and Jeffrey Seller are producing the show.

The musical features a book by Rick Elice, direction by Jason Moore, choreography by Christopher Gattelli and orchestrations, arrangements and musical supervision by Daryl Waters.

The show recently announced Bob Mackie, a longtime Cher collaborator, as the costume designer.

Block was most recently on Broadway as Trina in “Falsettos,” and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
