A private workshop of the Magic Mike musical taking place this week has been postponed, a spokesperson for the production confirmed.

The reason for the postponement was the departure of the writing team, who left due to “creative differences,” according to spokesperson Adrian Bryan-Brown. The musical’s creative team was formerly composed of book writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, with music by Tom Kitt and lyrics by Brian Yorkey.

Director Trip Cullman remains with the production.

The musical is still scheduled to play at the Emerson Colonial Theatre on Nov. 30, the theater confirmed. It previously had announced plans for a Broadway engagement following the Boston run.

A new creative team will be announced soon, according to the spokesperson. Camille A. Brown is listed as the musical’s choreographer.

Actors hired for the original workshop will still be paid and were informed so on Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for Equity.

The musical is produced by Channing Tatum, star of the “Magic Mike” movies, Steven Soderbergh, Gregory Jacobs, Nick Wechsler, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan.
